{Bake} The Macaron

Have you tried one or maybe several? Macarons are blissful bite-sized treats that are deliciously beautiful! I love them.
My girlfriend & I decided to venture out this past Black Friday afternoon. And while shopping at HomeGoods, I stumbled upon a book that commanded immediate attention. A book called “I {heart} Macarons”. I admit, I’ve never attempted this pastry delight. But now that I have my new book in hand, I’m confident that I can tackle this patisserie.

This book authored by Hisako Ogita gives a detailed step-by-step tutorial on how to master the macaron. She also provides several different macaron concoctions, macaron troubleshooting, and packaging ideas. Not only does this book provide everything you need to know, it’s also lovely to look at. It’s a perfect addition to my cookbook collection.
So this Christmas, I will attempt the macaron. And if I’m successful, I may be showing up on your doorstep with macarons in hand.
Peace, Love & Macarons,
Jill

Craving a Peanut Butter cookie? I’ve got a simply delicious recipe that can be made in minutes. What makes this recipe even more appealing? It requires only 3 ingredients!
The 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe:
1 Egg
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Cup Sugar
Blend with an electric mixer until creamy.
Roll dough into balls, press slightly, imprint with fork & place on cookie sheet.
Preheat oven: 350 degrees
Bake 8 – 10 minutes
Optional: Fold chopped dark chocolate pieces or M&M’s into dough.
When my little sister comes to visit, we spend alot of time in the kitchen baking & cooking. She & I make a great team. In fact, we work like a well-oiled machine. Each time she visits, she always shares a recipe or two with me. Lynn passed this recipe along to me. The original source is unknown.
I’m dedicating this post to you, Lynn. Thank you for your inspiration in the kitchen. May your dreams of opening your own restaurant some day come true! I {LOVE} you dearly!
